Hair for characters

Hello there, to create the hair pieces for my lego characters I decided to use Sculptris. I found it much easier to manipulate the object to create a more organic shape. For Rocky's hair I used a screenshot to reference, the other hair I made from my memory of lego hair pieces. I will change the colour of that one to make different characters.

It was mostly grabbing the clay to drag it out, I used the draw tool to make cords of hair on the head then ran the smooth tool over it. Here is a pic.

When I took this into Blender as an obj file the hair lost it's colouring and texture, it was easy to make another in Blender. I then had to alter it sligthly to fit the lego head. I then applied a boolean modifier to make the hairpiece a proper snap on object. I will also do the same to the other hairpiece. Here is a pic.

I also made a hat in Blender for secondary characters. I will alter this a few times for different uses. Have a look.

Lego man built

Hello, I have finished building the lego man in Blender. It still needs to be textured and assigned a material but this is the basic model for all of my characters for the parody.

For this model I will need to create some hair in Sculptris for the main character, I will also need some generic hair and a baseball cap and beanie for the secondary characters. I will create a variety of skins for the model. I will need to create two generic textures for the crowd and three or possibly four faces for the main character.

My schedule has been turned around a bit so I will ber focussing on finishing the models and texturing them, then I will focus on the scenery. Here is a picture of my lego man built.
